Cookie Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how EcoPIR uses cookies and similar technologies on ecopir.eu. Cookies are small files stored in your browser. Some support essential functions, such as remembering your privacy choice or maintaining an authorised login. Optional Google Analytics cookies help us understand how the website is used and require your consent. You can accept optional analytics, reject them, or change your choice later using Cookie Settings in the footer. Refusing analytics does not prevent you from browsing product pages or contacting us. For personal-data questions, email [email protected] and see our Privacy Policy.
Cookies and your choices
1. Essential cookies
Essential cookies support a service you request, including saving your consent choice and authenticating website administrators. They are not used as a substitute for consent to analytics.
- pressidium_cookie_consent — set by ecopir.eu to remember accepted and rejected categories and your consent choice. Duration: 182 days, unless you delete it or a new choice is required.
- wordpress_test_cookie — WordPress login cookie used to check whether the browser accepts cookies. Session duration; relevant when accessing the login page.
- wordpress_logged_in_* and wordpress_sec_* — authentication cookies for signed-in users. Their duration depends on the login session and whether Remember Me is selected; they are not needed to read public product pages.
2. Optional analytics cookies
Google Analytics is used to understand visits and improve the website. Its script is enabled only after you choose the analytics category. Analytics cookies are associated with this website, although the service is provided by Google.
- _ga — distinguishes browsers for analytics. Google’s default expiry is two years.
- _ga_* — maintains analytics session state for the relevant Google Analytics property. Google’s default expiry is two years.
These are the standard Google Analytics cookie families; the suffix depends on the configured property. Browser restrictions or service settings can shorten their lifetimes, and permitted visits may refresh them. Cookie lifetime is not the same as the retention period for analytics reports. See Google’s cookie documentation and Google’s explanation of data use.
3. Accept, reject or change your choice
The cookie banner offers Accept all, Reject optional and Cookie Settings. Analytics is off unless you enable it. You can reopen Cookie Settings using the link in the footer and save a different selection at any time. Rejecting optional cookies leaves the public website available. Withdrawing consent stops future optional analytics; it does not undo processing that took place before withdrawal.
The consent tool removes recognised analytics cookies on withdrawal where it can access them. You can also remove remaining cookies through your browser settings. Your choice applies to the browser and device used; another browser or device may need its own choice. Clearing the consent cookie causes the banner to appear again.
4. Other technologies and services
Website delivery can involve technical logs even when no optional cookies are allowed. Login, language or other functional features may introduce additional cookies when those features are used. A plugin being installed does not itself mean that its tracking service is running. No advertising or targeting cookie category is currently offered by this site.
5. Browser controls
Your browser lets you inspect, block and delete cookies or site data. Blocking all cookies can prevent consent preferences or authenticated sessions from being remembered. Deleting cookies does not delete information already held by a service provider.
6. Contact and updates
For questions about cookies or personal data, contact EcoPIR at [email protected]. Our Privacy Policy explains data processing and your rights. We update this notice when the website’s technologies or settings change.
