PIR insulation boards

PIR insulation boards are rigid thermal insulation boards with a polyisocyanurate foam core and protective facings. They are used within suitable roof, wall and floor constructions to reduce heat transfer through the building envelope. Low thermal conductivity can make a compact insulation layer possible, which is useful where build-up depth or usable space is limited. Board selection depends on the application, facing, thickness, mechanical demands and the complete construction. ecoPIR welcomes enquiries for PIR boards for new-build and refurbishment projects. Ask us for current availability and product documentation so the selected board can be checked against your design.

A compact core. A versatile material.

A PIR board combines a rigid insulating core with facings chosen for the intended application. The facing and edge detail affect how the board is incorporated into a roof, wall or floor system.

Choose around your project

  • Thermal performance: compare declared conductivity and the thickness needed for the target construction.
  • Application: select a board designed for the roof, wall or floor build-up.
  • Mechanical demands: confirm the loading and fixing requirements.
  • Moisture and fire: assess the complete assembly and current product documentation.
